“Nothing”

- LES MOINS

“Firstly the manager was very rude and was not willing to listen. The food came out cold, drinks were flat, food was too salty, dinning area was over booked resulting in fire escapes being bloked, decor was to a poor standard, cutlery was given some time after food was served....”

“If Vietnamese is your favorite asiatic food, this is the place to go! The dishes are cooked on the spot which means it's all freshly cooked. The freshness of the products and the delicate mix of ingredients bring to your palate the exquisite flavours from Vietnam.”

“The waitresses' attitudes were very pleasant; they seemed anxious to please.
The quality of the food was very good, but it was let down by poor seasoning.”

- LES MOINS

“The restaurant was downstairs (in a basement) and was very hot. There was no ventilation, only a fan.
The staff were asked by our Thai friend to recommend a spicy dish and were unable to do so. After consultation with the chef, they told her that any dish cold be made as spicy as she wished, but in fact it made no difference. The flavours were bland. The salmon dish was supposed to come with a chilli soy sauce; there was no hint of chilli, the sauce tasted like oyster sauce, and the overwhelming taste sensation was of salt.
All the main courses were served on cold plates.
We ordered coffees to follow the deserts, but they came at least ten minutes before the deserts.”

“One of the very best restaurants in Northampton. The food is authentic, interesting and unique. At Dangs you will find delicate flavours made with fresh ingredient.

I eat here most weeks and have done now for a couple of years. I am a local Business man and travel to China often. Many in the UK don’t realise that there are many styles of Asian food. Unfortunately nearly all of “our” Chinese restaurants are just Hong Kong style slop (with MSG). Dangs is different in a very good way.

You will often find Howe (The owner) cooking. She is Vietnamese, kind and helpful.

Recommend the scallops on spinach and the Salomon main.”

- LES MOINS

“Waiting staff could do with a bit more training and the stairs down to the actual restaurant a bit steep for larger guests. But if you think that the most important thing is the food, you won’t be disappointed.”

“Service. However when I phoned to book and ask about gluten free food the response was extremely positive and I was really looking forward to eating there. On arrival none of the staff understood wheat allergy and on asking four times the waitress came back from the kitchen with a list of the dishes I shouldn't order. This list however, was approximately 10 dishes, whereas in fact there were only a handful of dishes I actually could have ordered.”

- LES MOINS

“We were not convinced at all that this was in fact Vietnamese cuisine and it apppeared to actually be Hong Kong Chinese with slight alterations to make it appear to be Vietnamese - for instance I had the traditional Vietnamese Chicken Curry and it tasted like it had come from a Chinese takeway - ie tons of pepper.A Thai friend has taught me some Thai cooking and she said that Vietnamese is very similar - this wasn't.It wasn't spicy enough - in fact it was extremely bland apart from the excess of pepper in the curry. Not impressed at all and we won't be returning.”
