Really lovely menu; venison, hare, gorgeous puddings. We visit regularly and are never disappointed; good honest and consistent.
Having to reserve a table on saturdays.

Nice surroundings if a little "posh Brewer's Fayre". All rather samey food which is overpoweringly marketed at every opportunity even on your place mat! Fresh and well cooked food with local ingredients, very nice cauliflower fritters and mustard dip and liked the way the waiters served the food on huge platters too.
Very much a chain feel to the place which is very cheap. Food good but not the best in the area by a long way. Reputation is a powerful thing even when the food isn't that special but we will continue to go because you must!

Loved the easy-going feel; wasn't expecting such great tasting food and very very good value for money. Not as busy as some other places but this is more to do with a snob factor than the food. Very good; I will return and stay next time (a 50 miles drive for me)
Nothing to dislike really except they don't accept dogs in the Inn which is fair enough.
