Returned recently to find that the service had improved considerably. Much more attentive and professional than previous visits.
Beautiful view of the Moselle river.
The food seemed a bit pedestrian this time. Nothing in particular amiss, just a sense on leaving that price to quality was not balanced. We root for this restaurant, but there are better places within five minutes.

A second meal at this hotel restaurant confirmed that they have a quality kitchen staff. The escargot pastry appetizer was delicious, and was followed by a tender and flavorful filet mignon. Impressive wine list.
The service at this restaurant is amateurish and exceedingly slow. The wait staff is inattentive and brusque, with poor timing. Given the abundant high-quality establishments nearby, this restaurant likely won't justify another visit. Prices are also on the high end, especially when considering the service.

Beautiful setting. The dining room is surprisingly elegant given the humble appearance of the hotel, and the view of the river is breathtaking. Placesettings were immaculate. Excellent grilled scallop main course was only hindered by a too-small portion. Very nice cheese plate, and a comprehensive wine list.
Only one staff member handling reception and table waiting! Unacceptable even on a slow night. As a result, the service was predictably slow, and of limited professionalism. Tuna tartare starter was not particularly appetizing.
